Welcome...

Welcome to the Caregiver Support Ministry.

Serving as a caregiver for our loved ones is a precious blessing, accompanied by many challenges. We understand how the countless decisions and  responsibilities of caregiving can feel both overwhelming and isolating.

We hope you will allow us to walk with you on this difficult journey.

As you bless your loved one by meeting their daily  needs, we are here to encourage you, to remind you that you are not alone, and to assure you there is hope.

Facilitator

Lynda Thornton cared for her husband, Lee, for twelve years while he was fighting a battle with Alzheimers. Lynda writes of that time:

"Without a doubt those were the worst years of my life. Everyone faces adversity and trials. I thought of my Mother and others who cared for their spouses. I learned that God was greater than any problem I face. Lee's illness brought me into a relationship with God that I had never experienced. I knew I couldn't face those challenges alone. God could do immeasurably more than all I can ask or imagine."

After Lee's death, Lynda wanted to use her experience to minister to others.  She felt led to start visiting with other caregivers to encourage them and share resources and tips she had found helpful—and the Caregiver Ministry was formed.

If you are facing the challenges of caregiving, Lynda would be blessed to meet or talk with you. She wants to encourage you, and assure you there is hope, and you are not alone.

Meetings

Our Caregiver Support is offered through private meetings. We understand finding time to meet in person while cvaregiving can be extremely challenging so we are available via phone and email as well.

We would love to meet with you to share resources, encouragement, and most importantly, hope.
