The Book of Romans - George Foust - Room S201 - No Charge

Join Dr. George Foust as he delves into the book of Romans.  This is an ongoing Bible study.

Church History, Part I, led by Brian Schneider and Greg Rogers. Cost: $10. Room S104. Have you ever wondered what happened to the church after the death of the last Apostle in 90 A.D.? Wondered how we got the Bible? Wondered why we practice our faith the way we do? Why do we believe the way we do? Part 1 looks at the early church up to 1500 A.D. (the Protestant Reformation, in case you forgot). Part 2, offered in the spring, will take us from 1500 to today. So, bring your questions and your curiosity and let’s walk through Church History together.

The Attributes of God, led by Mitch McDonald. Cost: Free. Room: S205.

Moses, being in the vicinity of the presence of Almighty God, asked Him “please show me your glory” (Ex. 33:18). What an unimaginable petition; and yet God’s response is even wilder. He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you…” (v.19, emphasis added). Throughout this course we will seek to understand what all might be contained in the goodness and greatness of our God.

The divine attributes teach us Who God is, what He’s like, and what He’s made of. We are to love Him with all of our heart, soul, and mind (Mt. 22:37). But how could we ever with any intensity love who we do not know? We will aim to do just that, to know God; not in full but to the measure which He has commanded and equipped us to, that we may love Him more fully.

Discovering Daniel: Finding Hope in God’s Prophetic Plan Amid Global Chaos, by Adam Landers. Cost: $5. Room S202. Do you feel like you are living in a modern-day Babylon? Up is down, down is up, evil is considered good, and good is considered evil. This is not a surprise to God. In fact, He told us it would be this way. While the world appears to be in dire straits, the book of Daniel paints a vivid picture of the many ways God guides our lives and world events, providing us with great reason to hope. God is still in control – never forget that. He has informed us ahead of time the things that are happening right now – not to scare us but to prepare us. Are you prepared for what’s next?

Discovering Daniel reveals how the words, actions, and visions of the prophet Daniel can provide you with purpose and hope in today’s chaotic world, encouraging you to live with confidence in God’s supreme sovereignty and love in the time we have left on this earth.
