Ministry
Listen to a recent message from Rob
Hatfield,
Minister of Students and Young Singles
Vision
Our student ministry is a conglomeration of three types of
relationships. First of all, we are committed to helping our
students establish and grow in their relationship with God. Second,
we connect our students to other Christians in the church. These
relationships occur both with their peers and with adults, and help
students to have accountability and support in their lives. Finally,
we believe that our students can be and are lights in a dark world.
To that end, we seek to enable our students to develop an
evangelistic relationship with their friends who do not know Christ.
Everything we do is intentionally a function of these three types of
relationships. Whether we are playing a fun game and going down
white water rapids, or studying the Bible and singing songs of
worship, we continually have the goal in mind of helping our
students to become the men and women God is calling them to be.
The Greenhouse
The
Greenhouse meets weekly in our chapel from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Greenhouse
is all about helping students begin and grow in their relationship
with God. We are committed to having an atmosphere where our
students know they are loved, where they can depend on quality
content, and where they can feel comfortable in inviting their lost
friends. Every single week we proclaim the good news of the gospel
to our students, and every single week we push our students who are
already Christians to become more faithful followers of Christ.
Sunday School
Sunday School
meets weekly at both 8:30 and 9:45. Sunday School helps our students
connect with one another and with adults in a small group setting.
Our students study the Bible together under the leadership of an
adult teacher. They also pray with and for one another, and seek to
be better members of the body of Christ.
Go Groups
Go Groups
meet weekly at 5:00 p.m. Go groups allow students to use what they
love (flag football, art, cooking, video games) as a means to gather
their lost friends, develop relationships with them, and then share
the gospel of Christ with them. Go Groups seek to help students
become comfortable with sharing their faith and then empowers them
to go into the world doing the work of sharing the gospel.
Be sure to check out some of our publications to the left. They will
give you some more in depth information about what is happening
right now.
