Music :: Youth & Childrens Choir

Our Youth Choir meets each Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. This group works primarily on service music for our Sunday night worship service and occasionally will work on a musical. This group is for all youth in Grades 7-12. Also included in this is the formation and development of individual talent, vocally and instrumentally.

Our Children's Choirs meet on Wednesday evenings prior to our Missions Activities for children. We have a preschool choir for ages 4 and 5 which stresses music fundamentals and learning basic music skills. The children work together in small groups to learn basic skills such as rhythms, low and high sounds, soft and loud sounds, and work on small art projects.

Children in Grades 1-6 work together on special projects. They will usually present three musicals a year--one in the spring, one in the summer, and one in the winter. This group will also sing with the Adult Choir on special occasions.

We do not meet on Wednesday evenings during the summer. However, we do have a Children's Music Week during the summer break. This musical is open for all children who have completed Kindergarten through Grade 6 prior to the musical.
